:) It would be nice to enable the G-Drive to be used from a shared resource on a network. I have 2 boxes at home, both with 200GB hard drives. It would be nice to link the G-Drive to my server where I can create a spanned hard drive of almost any size and use it instead of the 60GB left on the 200GB installed hard drive. This would mean also one could mod the original Xbox 8GB hard drive and store all there games on a remote server hard drive. Also, if the shared drive is possible than more than one Xbox could connect at a time to this shared drive and allow it to act as a game server. No more large drive in each Xbox and even an internet game server via the share drive or Samba… Now that sounds too cool to me, and think of the money saved!! :)

you cant run games from the network. once you launch an xbe any servers that are running are no longer in memory, so the conection will be lost.

for this to actually work, a server would have to be built into the kernel, not an external app (ie. x3cl). even if someone were to do this, there would be far too much overhead and a 128mb memory upgrade would likely be required. cpu usage would also be too great. a side from that the xbox cant multitask so im pretty sure even a kernel embeded server wouldnt work.

LT+ Spoofed Drive

ok i know it says, You cannot spoof a different model drive as that can now be detected. With this release of LT+ you HAVE to have an original Benq or Liteon.

so does that for online?

if so i do not go online

so can i still flash a spoof drive
and play the games ?

Re: LT+ Spoofed Drive

In that case I'm hoping a firmware update for the Hitachi drive gets released, because it seems LT+ is essentially useless to me now without a Hitachi update. Was spoofing a Benq as a hitachi since Hitachi has been forgotten about.

So i'm basically screwed either way, banned with the Hitachi and 1.51, and banned with spoofing. sh*t sucks!

Re: LT+ Spoofed Drive

Hi,
I am sort of in the same boat. I had a sammy drive in mine but it died so i got a BenQ to replace it and spoofed it with LT for the sammy. I dont go online but it seems that now this console will not go any further with new games as i wont be able to play them anymore??
Well not unless I can repair or find a replacement sammy anyway.
