Used alternate 5v on 1.3

I have done a previous x3 mod on a 1.6, and this time I accidently soldered the alternate 5v on a 1.3. The modchip worked for a few minutes fine, but then it started fragging, and i haven't been able to fix it. Is it possible that i burned out the modchip?

did you try de-soldering it from the alt 5v point and solder it to where it should be on the lpc and booting up?

I think you cranked 10v into your chip instead of 5v, so yes you could of fried it. What happens if you remove the chip does the box still work unmodded?

Didn't you twig when you got to the LPC rebuild???

I know that mistakes happen but, come on!!!

i've gotten the ms bios to work fine, but i haven't gotten the modchip to work at all. It always frags. If i broke it i'm such a dumb*ss

Count it as a costly mistake - you may want to edit your sig too
