Used wrong BIOS and FRAGGED

I used the wrong bios for me 2.6CE and need to reflash. I used EvolutionX M8 Bios_v1.6 from the xbins IRC channel. Reading some of the other posts...is it even possible to reflash? I flashed my bank 1 but when I try to use bank 2, it doesnt work. Shouldnt it load flashBios? If I have to go buy something else (like that programmer thing), that would be supremely retarded. I saw on some chips that you can press the power and eject buttons at the same time or something and it will go back to the manufacturer bios (maybe?)

Im guessing the bank 2 didnt work because I have a 1.6 version xbox and the two banks have different version of flashbios(?)

Oh, and also...is there anywhere you can download the bios' from beside the xbins channel on IRC because I got banned for a day (two days ago) and I am still banned.

ha man you sound like me in a lot of ways

alright when you flash with evox, it takes up both banks 1 and 2.

i ALSO got banned for a day from xbins because i accidentally transferred a folder with like 100 files in it >.<.

it seems like the programmer might be your only shot, unless that rumor i heard about chip-to-chip flashing (same make and model) was true.

lol don't take my word on it though, ask the Xecuter g0dz that are on here =D

ok so i figured i need to buy a programmer or hotswap and I don't want to spend any more money. However, I dont understand the purpose of hotswapping because as I understand it it just lets you move, rename, add, or delete files on your xbox HD. How would this allow me to change my bios?

so the only alternative is to buy the programmer (because Im not buying another chip)? Anyone wanna suggest a good one for an xbox 1.6 and the 2.6CE?
