has anyone tried one of these http://www.intek-uk.com/condepox.htm?

since soldering runs the risk of damaging the mobo, i was thinking about using one of the conductive adhesive especially for circuit boards. I have tried using PCB rebuild board with no success perhaps due to bad soldering. Any suggestions?

Forget it.

Buy a good quality iron, flux, desolder braid, and some low melting point solder.

If it’s a 1.6 Xbox a magnifying glass would be a good idea too, because some of the solder points are quite small and hard to see.

I know this might sound like over kill for 1 install, but in a scene where you could blow the box up, it’s a small price to pay for total success.

Umpa is right. It may be worth a try on the D0 connection if you are crap at soldering, but I wouldn't use it on the pin header.. The pins are just too small and close together.

At the end of the day, bog standard solder (if correctly done) will always produce better results.
