Guys I am using a nonflammable electrical tape to secure the coolrunner because when I secure it the wires soldered to it stays still ,makes me think it is safer for the wires because they wouldnt bend or break.

is securing the coolrunner in this way safe?
any chance the tape may inflict damage to the mobo or the coolrunner in any way?
thanks

surely if you havent got the sticky pad that came with it then the coolrunner is touching the motherboard underneath?? wouldnt this cause issues if it shorts something

I want to note that I have had issues with the recent pads, the double sided tape peeling off the pad completely, however this was on an older REV B batch that still had the "REV B" sticker on the box whereas the new units with REV B printed on the box seem to be fine.

I have a picture if TX QC are interested.

Why wouldn't he have it? It's supplied with every CoolRunner.
soz uber just realised what i put

i was meat to say wouldnt it short something out if he had decided to not use his provided stickypad and just sat the CR onto the motherboard
