We don't know how to enter the vendor mode (earlier we used the modified DosFlash32) so we can't try to unlock this drive :)

I don't recommend to do kamikaze on MXIC. While developing MXIC UnLock (you called it "Sputnik") we found that MXIC often has different EEPROM position so drive could be damaged while drilling (because of different wires position)

If you think Kamikaze is easier, you are doing it wrong. MXIC sputnik seriously requires you to remove one screw and scratch the trace... I do these pretty often and I do the whole MXIC with the screw driver + one xacto knife carefully. Takes 5 minutes... The kamikaze on the other hand requires soldering for your 3.3v, tracing and counting pins, and a lot of hoping that it works and you do not brick the PCB.

EDIT: not to mention 15432 says that it might not work anyways!
