So, something went wrong after unlocking my MXIC 0225 with the Sputnik 360 switch and now the MOSFETs are getting really hot and the drive board no longer sends any data, however, I can still lock/unlock it, which is weird. But anyway, I never got a full dump of the FW. This is a Dual NAND console, so I do have my NAND dumps, so it looks like the LTU PCB is what I'll have to use to rectify it. Just a couple quick questions first.

I've read the tutorial and this is where I'm at. I open JF. I open the target firmware. The one I open is the LTU 0225 for my drive, I assumed that was the correct one. I load my key.bin and C-R.bin as per the tutorial, then I hit "save file". I believe my next step is just to flash the PCB with the 0800 MTK unlock, etc. Is there something I need to do to lock the PCB after its flashed or am I good to roll? Any tips, tricks, pointers will be great. These damn PCB's are expensive and I don't want to F one up. Thanks!

You shouldn't need an LTU PCB.

An Xecuter Unlocked PCB v1.1 will be fine because the original drive is a 0225 and you have the original firmware saved.

I wasn't able to get the original drive FW. Something caused my drive pcb to get really hot after switching on/off to unlock and then read the keys and then the drive stopped responding to the read commands. So, I never did get a full drive firmware read, only a NAND read.

I see.

The procedure you talked about in your first post is correct (creating and saving your LTU firmware).

However, you don't lock an LTU PCB like you do with a D4S PCB.

The LTU PCBs are now being sold with $20 off: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php/137395-Liteon-DG-16D5S-LTU-PCB-LAST-FEW-AVAILABLE-20-OFF-COUPON.

Be quick though because stock is very limited!

Thanks!

I just picked up an LTU PCB from an Xbox-scene member for $60 shipped. When I went to go try that code yesterday, since it ships from the UK, it was gonna cost me $64. So, ended up with one for a bit cheaper. Thanks for the confirmation. Can't believe I've been a member for 7 years and never had many questions
