Using Old Hitachi Laptop LCD screen

I got my hands on a used perfect condition used

it's like a 9.5 inch lcd laptop screen. i think i have some sort of electrical transformer/converter that came with it. basically rip the screen out of an old laptop and see what happens. anyone know of a way to use it as a xlcd? i figure cut out the a big square on the top of the xbox and place the screen there. i was hoping to hook it into the x3, but i'm sure with my luck i'd have to just rig something else in there to control the screen and have it display random pix or something. if no one thinks this could work, anyone got any ideas to use this lcd screen with the xbox?

I'm guessing the LCD that the x3 can control is any type of HD44780 character LCD...

That laptop screen will not work.

Not saying it could not be done because somebody will prove me wrong. Wit hthe hip pad it breaks down to 4 wires (hot and ground for power and hot and ground for video in). Laptops are a completely different animal powered by an inverter for the backlight and fed via ribbon cable most times you have to consider it is not just the 2 wires but split into colors so you actually have red green and blue along with all the other crap. IF you get it to work, it wont be off the X3 but more likely off the box itself through its output instead of to a TV.

Pre-flashed with latest version of iXtreme LT, professional cleaned and microsoft refrubs.
