using RGB cables and have no sound

Hello, I just went out to purchase some new RGB cables for my xbox here are the details:

-xecuter 2.6 modchip with M8 and 4983.76 Bios installed.
-running Slayers 2.6 install
-I get normal operation when using standard video and audio cables
-I get great video but no sound with the RGB cables
-X-box version 1.2
-no sound on M$ Dash either.

QUESTIONS-

1.)Do I need a special mod to get this to work properly?
2.)Is it a setting somewhere?

I dont know what to do at this point, can somebody help me with this issue?

What happens with the chip off? Do you get the same thing? If so I would take a look at your setup and make sure you have everything plugged in properly.

Same thing happends, Cables are totally secure.

So I am assuming there is no known issues with the xecuter bios and how it relays the data through the rgb cables? Strange I have heard of people having to buy some sort of adapter to add into the xbox. Must be my new cables causing the problem than sine it happends to all 4 of my xboxes that have the same set up.

Since it happens with the chip off it has to be a problem with your cables or your setup.

So the bios and chip both support RGB cables?

what brand of RGB cables did you purchase? I know that JoyTech do make Advance Audio cable that provide normal RCA outputs, RGB outputs and also digital sound outputs.

The chip has nothing to do with the support of the cables, it all lies in the bios. BUT, if the problem exists with the chip off it has absolutely nothing to do with the bios on the chip, it is a problem with the hardware.
