V1.0 no chip mod

I am modding a xbox for my friend and all he wants to do is play burned games not connect to xbox live or anything. I am having trouble finding resaerch about V1.0 modding besause it is so old. I was told that it is just a few solder connections.

My Questions?
Do i need to flash the origoinal bios?
and how would i do this CD-R or only DVD-R.
I know how to solder(put an X3 in my box V1.6)
can anybody piont me in the right direction for which jumpers i should connect to turn off the write proctection?

if you have already installed a x3 in your 1.6 then you should know what to do.

the 1.0 has solder in the lpc that you have to remove if you are doing the pin header install and you don't have to do the rebuild

If you have modded a 1.6 then pretend that the 1.0 is a 1.6 do the same thing... just follow the instructions for 1.0-1.5 instead of the 1.6... they are all pretty much the same.. and in my opinion the 1.6 id harder because of the LPC rebuild....

that is the physical part of the mod... the rest is all the same except you use the version of the bios that doesn't say "for 1.6 only"

he is talking about a tsop flash, I have it done on my xbox i have bios split 4 ways but that dang x3 bios was to rich in features, as well as x3cp previews, so i bought an x3 off a guy who couldn't install it for 35 bucks

Im trying to do it w/ out a modchip. Hes my brother in law and he doesn't want to spend any money so i wanted to know it i could play burned games w/ out a modchip.

How would you split the TSOP in 4 ways? Its only 256kb big and there is no way of switching between each "banks". The TSOP was only made for one BIOS.

If ur talking about doing the mod without a chip than ur talking about soft modding and xbox-scene has tutorials for soft mods involving game hacks.
Splinter cell and meck assault are two ways to go I think. I've never actually done a soft mod.

How would you split the TSOP in 4 ways? Its only 256kb big and there is no way of switching between each "banks". The TSOP was only made for one BIOS.

The v1.0 and 1.1 TSOPs were 1 MB big, and could be split four ways.

my old clan xbox360 case and pad

this is my 360 case mod with matching controler and modified pad...light and dark blue with silver marbling all airbrushed and protected, also WTF clan badge on again all protected, pad also has blue lighting however at moment console only had fan upgraded no lighting but plan on fighting blue neon fans and blue ring. id like to add the blue ring myself but im not sure regarding soldering ad wires lol...i will add more pics soon but camara was dead, hope you enjoy and hear your feed back cheers
