V1.0/X3/3294/Flash 3.0.1

I installed a X3 on a V1 xbox flashed it with a 3294 bios- Bank 1234: on on off off off. I tried to boot it would start up and stop quickly. So I tried to flash the other 1Meg bank with the same bios Bank 5678: off on off off off - it does the same thing - loads the bios flashing process fine ... flash 3.0.1 doesn't like a V1.0 xbox?

I tried to flash it with several old bioses 1959,3293 - Flash didn't like any of those. Did I totally hose my X3 - I used the same process on a v1.6 and it worked fine. Can I try reflash using the 256 banks - I can always boot back to the backup bios? Or is there other options?

Exactly what BIOS were you using here? You are aware that the 1.6 and 1.0 use two entirely different versions of the same BIOS?

You should be able to boot the backup BIOS, by pressing power and eject at the same time.

Im using the X3_3294 bios...the other I know if for a v1.6 X3 3294 v16plus.bin

I did say: I can always boot back to the backup bios?

Also I just noticed upon reboot with bank on,on.off,off,off and off,on,off,off.off when FLASH bios starts it says read only. Flash bios starts up fine by pressing power and eject at the same time.

Remove the bank select switch for now and try to power on without it. It defaults to bank 1234 by default. See how it goes from there.

Same thing - it just turns on, turns off quickly.

How about the backup BIOS? Does this do the same thing with the switch removed?

So what if you boot from the backup BIOS with the switch removed and try to reflash with the vOld version of the X3 BIOS? Does it boot when you quickly press the power button?

Okay - now it doesn't shutoff - I tried the x3_1959 bios - I just get a blank screen ? I can get to the xbox boot screen w/chip disabled. Any Ideas of what bios might work beside the X3_3294 & X3_1959?...Thanks for Idea again
