v1.3 frags but installation looks perfect

Hello everyone,

I've gotten a v1.3 motherboard that had a small conduction problem through one of the holes of the LPC. I resoldered that connection from the top to the bottom of the mobo and now it works fine.

Because I don't have a HD for it, I wanted to lock a HD onto that mobo and pulled my x3 from a v1.6. I used a wire install to put the x3 onto the v1.3. However, it constantly frags. It works on the original bios when I press a long time on the power button. I've checked all connections (continuity bottom-top of the mobo, connections to the chip), but don't see to find any problem. Is there a possibility that the motherboard doesn't work at all with a chip?

If I post the values of the voltage of each pin, would that help someone give me a better answer? thanks a lot guys! I hope this system will work by christmas

is the chip flashed with 1959v16plus if so that is probly why it is fragging, for a 1.3 you need the 1959 bios. have you tried pressing power/eject at the same time to boot the backup bio's

Kinetic

I have a questions I have a modded banned xbox sammy IX6.1 I can play all the new current games. I was thinking of getting the kentic for my daughters birthday this week. But I want to make sure if I get I will be able to install the new kinetic dash. If I'm not mistaken listening to what c4eva is that the sammy drives do not have the ability to detect ap2.5. Which game has the new kinetic dashboard included with it. Know if I install the new dash I should still be able to use kinetic and still be able to play black ops and fable correct. Any suggestions my daughter is begging me to get this for her but I don't want to waste my money if its not going to work.

I have been reading reviews of the setup and play of the kinetic I personally would not put it on a modded box.

plus if your box is banned i dont know how youll set it up as once connected to your xbox the kinetic device has to connect to live to download software. also I read that one of the ways the kinetic works is by keeping your player log in profiles on microsofts cloud servers and not your hard drive. if this is all true. then people with modded boxes are gonna have a hard time with it. and if it needs software downloaded from live to even install then banned boxes are gonna be s.o.l.

OH plus a side note every who has gotten one so far on the net is complaining about the space requirements. they are geting it home to relize they need 6 feet away(at the least) for one player. and minimun of 8 feet away for 2 players. that might not sound like alot but considering you cant have any coffe tables or other obstructions in the way people with smaller apartments or moblie homes are gonna not be able to get this thing working right. just a side note thought i would add the info. not to mention its not really getting all that great of reviews. i predict that since its not a console but a prerifiral(hence it can be returned for full refund) theres gonna be a lot of open box buys at best buy soon lol
