I've done loads of installs, but this one is very strange.
box is a 1.6 and the chip is a Xecuter 2.6lite.
Installed as usual using LPC rebuild. Soldered everything and it looks fine. powered box up, when the chip is 'on' the red led in the middle of the switch bank glows dimly (nothing else lights up) and the box frags with no error, just flashes green/red.
Switch the chip 'off' and the red led on the on/off switch comes on red (as usuall) and the box powers up to m$ dash.
Though it was faulty switch panel so changed it. still the same. thought it was faulty chip, changed it for fresh didn't work.
Then noticed if i turn the flash protect on the box powers up to flashbios. but because it's in read only won't let me flash.
re installed a new lpc rebuild. still the same problem.
put a chip in with evoXM8 bios installed. box frags!
so basically I can only power the box up in read only mode, otherwise it doesn't work.
Any ideas?
