Hello everyone, I am having trouble w/ a v1.6 install. this is not my first and I have had many successful v1.6 installs before using this chip. I installed using pin headers as suggested. I used wires to connect the necessary points to rebuild the LPC. On the first boot up it loaded to the FlashBios screen so I flashed w/ the X3_1959_v16plus bios. It rebooted the Xbox and it loaded to the Microsoft dashboard and was asking to set the date. I tried again and it loaded and appeared to be running the new modified bios since it had the "Xecutor Rox My Box" logo but it loaded to this same screen, it didn't load X3 Config Live. So I rebooted and held the white button to make it load X3 Config Live but it didn't. I kept trying and each time it would go to the Microsoft dashboard and sometimes it would have Microsoft beneath the Xbox logo and other times it would have the "Xecutor Rox My Box" logo. Through all of this there was no LED activity at all on the external switch. The X3 logo and the HDD/LAN activity LED's did not light up. I have it set so 1 & 2 are On. I tried switching 1 to Off to flash the other 1024k bank but it doesn't come up w/ the FlashBios screen on bootup. Does anyone know what is wrong? I took out the switch and checked the cables for that and it all looked good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't understand why I can't run X3 Config Live. Should I just try to run an EvoX disc and install it that way? Could the external switch be bad? Thanks everyone, later.

sounds like a bad flash of x3 bios?? and also a hint that there maybe switch probs here..maybe wires trapped or a bent pin??.

rule out switch probs
Remove external switch AT THE X3 chip..chip will default to first bank
boot backup cromwell (tap pwr & reset).

Get bios again and try reflashing.

If all is good then reconnect external switch and check leds active..if not investigate trapped wires/bent pins on switch connectors.
