V1.6 Xapter?

I dont think there can ever be a solderless adaptor for the 1.6 be the point are so far away to rebuild the lpc. So sorry your going to have to solder.
Powering your drive from xbox360 - read this first!
Ok - here is what i know :!:
IF you power on the xbox whilst the DVD sata cable is not plugged from drive to xbox mainboard - it produces an error!
since an update earlier this year - that particular error is logged and counted!
As of yet i have no idea if bans will occur from that data - but M$ dont add things like that for fun!

So - My advice - use a CK3 connectivity kit or Maximus power unit for powering your drives during flashing! NOT the xbox!

Thanks for the info.
I flash consoles this way using the xbox itself and have had NO BANS up too yet but we will see soon enough if this changes anything.

so has anyone who powered the drive with the 360 like this, since the last update, actually been banned just for that? Or is it more like one strike which counts against you when you play games before release date or do other stuff like that.

Hey everyone, Im new and ready to flash my xbox. Anyways, Can someone explain a little better what the original post at the top of this page from Braveheart is supposed to mean. Im still not clear on what exactly is being said here lol. Im so confused

When most of us flash our 360, we plug the system in, disconnect the drive, connect it to the computer, and power up the Xbox to proceed with the flashing. Hey thanks alot guys, I really appreciate it. That makes it much more clear. Anyways Just wanted to let you know that I am now ready to buy a connectivity kit/maximus power unit. Which one would anyone recommend? Oh one more thing, I am guessing that the power units/connectivity kits prevent from this log error from ever being created. Can someone clear this up please. I have looked up several connectivity kits/maximus power units, but I am not sure which one to buy. Could someone throw me a bone here lol. Thanks in advance guys.

the power dongle is a neat little unit!
AND YES! since (while using a power unit) you never boot the console without drive connected then the error is never produced therefore nothing to log!

im not questioning the validity of your claims.
im just wondering why someone with proof of this would not make it public. knowing these things is not that high of a priority for me but knowing how they figure it out/how they can prove they know these things is.
i understand though that naming your sources makes them less friendly.
