v1.6b Problem

i bouhgt a cristmas bundle and got 1.6b
i'm going to go out and get a new (christmas bundle) one how do i make sure it is not a 1.6b

Take the plunge now and mod the 1.6b. I've been researching to mod my own 1.6b and to be honest its not that much harder than previous versions.

Almost all of the Christmas bundles are 1.6b's. I bought one from the first shipment of the Christmas bundle to hit she shelves and mine was a 1.6b.

Yeah... Definitly hard to mod. This was my first modding attempt and it was confusing as hell for a beginner.

Every Christmas bundle is a 1.6b. I bought my crystal box in november and it wasn't. Im pretty sure any box you buy now is going to be 1.6b. And why wouldn't you mod it? Its just a different proccess! use the 1959 and the config live 3.03 and your set!

Not all of the Xmas bundles are 1.6b versions. My bundle is Dated 09/26/2004 and has the Samsung RAM and Samsung DVD, thus a 1.6 version. It’s pretty much down to luck of the draw as to which version you’ll get.

It's really not all that hard guys, if you didn't get one with your chip, then ask your supplier for the LPC rebuild pcb, not essential, but saves some time, and just make sure that you've got FLASHBios 3.03 on the chip, 3.01 works ok too, not sure about 3.02, and definately NOT 3.00 !!
