V1.6B wont power on after X2.6 Install

hi,

just had my first v1.6b come thru, tested before modding and the console worked fine.. installed a X2.6, LPC rebuild all fine, tested continuity all looked well, but the console wont switch on.. if i hold the power button on the X2.6 switch bank will light up as the 5V is on for that time..

tried switching off the X2.6 and i get nothing, i preflashed the X2.6 with m8+v16 and flashbios v3.0.3 to make sure there werent any problems there, also reflashed the same x2.6 mod in another console with the same bioses to make sure it wasnt a modchip issue and flashbios worked fine..

so i removed the pinheader and lpc rebuild, cleaned up the board and still no go, i have checked the power supply, and that is definately fine..

has anyone had this issue?? any help would be appreciated

Console Ban - What do I lose?

Hi,

I've searched and found a lot of conflicting information on this subject. What exactly would I lose after a console ban?

- profile/saves
- ability to save to internal HDD
- ability to install games to external USB

Basically I want to know if I can continue using the offline features of the console

yes you can still use the console offline just cant install games to hdd

You can now install games to the hdd with the latest update. You can download it from xbox.com. Any game saves from the previous update will be corrupt. But if you stick to this one update, then you should be fine as long as you don't do any later updates, all game saves will be intact. You also can't transfer your profile to another xbox as it will be corrupt, meaning any achievements you achieve won't be valid on a non banned xbox.

does media center extender work if you're banned? did they re-allow that like installing games?
