okay i guess im prolly dumb for asking but plz tell me where this might be
Look at your probe, then back at the screen.
Back at your probe, then back to the the commonly used colors to describe electrical components.

Sadly, your probe isn't isn't as simple as a probe 3.
But it will work 100%.

Your probe has a prong for 3.3v and a prong for Ground.

I'm on a horse.

IM SRY FOR ALL THE DUMB QUESTIONS
Amazingly, these questions are all answered in the JF tutorial! Crazy, right?

That is the physical port you should be using, and the port in JF will be the primary, master port of the VIA card.

plugged into the back of it?
here, let me give you some pointers on how to use onboard SATA

1. AHCI and RAID must be disabled in bios. (SATA/IDE = OK)
2. Xbox Drive MUST be in the lowest numbered SATA port (look on mobo)
3. In JF, Tick "Include non-IDE ports," Untick "VIA ports only"
4. Scroll through your I/O ports and find the drive

If your drive is badflashed, step 4 won't work.
So you will need to use the primary, master port of the motherboard (noted in JF).

Are you starting to wonder why TX make a device which does this in like 5 mins?

Are you also starting to understand why we don't support configurations such as yours?

Joesinger47 has gone above and beyond here - TBH I'd have just advised you to buy the right hardware as messing with onboard SATA connections/drivers may render your PC inoperable (some might say it's a blessing in disguise, I would disagree).
