Hi,

I am just about to buy XBox 360 from local korean store. I asked about motherboard from staff they said it's Valhalla. It is 250GB HDD. I asked him to plug it in to check dashboard and the version was 2.0.13146.0. So the question is - can I do all jtaging, glitching and other magic to be able to play games requiring jtag, RGH, etc? Sorry, I'm new in this and have to make decision quick, so good advice would be highly appreciated.

You can glitch that console, Valhalla was just another possible codename instead of Trinity when it was in development .

And also ask them about Manufacturer Date ,Take It If Manufacturer Date Older Then August 2011 !

what im a bit unsure about is how many stores you buy from would actually no the make of motherboard in your console without opening it up?

the mf date is not always conclusive of what drive/motherboard is in there

not sure if store guy will open it again for me. Even this unboxing he made with great reluctance, I was convising him that I will buy it if he unbox... so hope someone can say for sure. Also it's important to know if I can jtag(this I can do myself) it or RGH(not easy to get the chip in korea, they don't do anything like that).

Wish I could take it home but only after I buy it... I can ask to check lite-on though...
Strange, but I thought dashboard version and motherboard identity should clearly say if I can jtag it or not...

Check the MFR date, a Slim manufactured before August 2011 is almost certainly glitchable (Trinity motherboard).

Edit: The dashboard version currently isnt a problem.

There are some consoles that have MFR date after July 2011 that can be RGHed (they still cannot be modded with LT, because they have the new Lite-On drive).

The most simple method to know if your XBox can be RGHed is to look right above the place where the video cable enters the console. If above that is written 12V...10.83A, can be glitched (it's Trinity). If it's written 12V...9.86A, it's Corona and can't be glithced. I attached a picture to see where to check.
