LT Mod is a DVD Drive Firmware to play backups of your games. The limitations with out it are that you can't play your backups, that it pretty much it. If you want to RGH LT is kinda useless, especially if it is a pain of a drive to mod.

To put it short - an Xbox can be modded two ways:
1. Modding the DVD-ROM, which allows you to play your backups from DVD+DL burned by yourself. The firmware which allows this is named iXtreme LT. This modding applies only for consoles with MFR date under August 2011 at this time.
2. RGH, which will get you banned from XBox Live if you try to acces it, but this modding grants you the possibilty to play backups without burning DVDs, only using the console's HDD or an USB Pendisk/HDD. Which is great, in my opinion, for those who don't care for playing on XBLive. This modding can be done only to consoles that have 10,83A (Trinity/Valhalla motherboard) written on the back of the console.

At some point in the future, you will be able to mod the drive (when c4eva will have time). No one knows when, so don't ask. :)

In my case, I don't play on XBLive, si if I were you, I would gladly make a RGH on it. :)
