this is my dillemma i managed to burn out a hitachi 59dj drive stupidly with a connectivity kit , power wrong way round won,t fall for that again. however the drive still gave me a key my question is do you think this will be valid as it reported this back after it fried the drive it was still visible in windows the key i get is this
22 54 CD D6 9D 53 12 63 BC B4 3B 41 6D 7A 32 00
if it is a valid key all is not lost i can get the 360 up and running again just wondred if any one has any experience of this thanx for any information in advance of putting money into a new drive

You are going to need a new drive no matter what to replace the broken one. As for the key, try it. Even if it doesn't work on your new drive, you can get someone to read the key off your old drive with an external programmer.
