I know these have different part numbers, but have the same labels. I like using my printer to print directly on the disc (if this doesn't mess up the 360). so what I am asking is are these printable dvd disks the same as the standard ones...... for making backups.......

Printable https://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/detail~dpno~7103106.asp

Standard https://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/detail~dpno~7076910.asp

thanks in advance. Just want to make sure before I order, that is expensive if it doesn't work.

Also, does anyone out there put paper labels on their backups and could it cause any issues with a xbox360 by having them on the regular disks??

From what I've read the printable discs should be made by the same company. I dont think putting a label on the disc will create any issues.

Printing a label onto a printable disc is fine.

Putting a label on the disc, like printing a "stick-on" label and then sticking it onto a disc , is very very bad. There is virtually no way to get the label perfectly center. If you are off by just a millimeter, you will cause problems. The extra weight and unequal distribution of this weight will cause the disc to wobble when spinning at such high speeds. You will get read errors and you'll probably be putting your laser into unnecessary extra work.

Printable discs = fine, labels = problems.

I must whole heartedly agree with textbook on the evils of stick on labels. Do not use them for your backups. I have used them in the past to backup some of my old xbox 1 games and a few movies I own. They gave me nothing but problems. Believe me, if I would have known that before I began sticking those suckers on for ethstetic reasons, I would have gladly used a permanent marker instead of having numerous disk errors and on the movies, skipping and freezing. Printable DvDs I havent tried, but I'm sure the weight distribution on those disks would be fine.
