Sup people im having a problem..

first off all this is what i got.

- hitachi 47DJ
- used slax from textbook's tuto
- Plextor px750A dvd +r dl capable burner

for more info go to www.xbox.com/support.

So i figuired it might just be the dvd media i was using, i ordered some verbatim +r dl 2.4 speed dvds online and they just delivered them and 5 minutes ago i tried everything again. Again with NO SUCCESS and i get exactly the same error message, this is extremely weird because the game sometimes DOES play in the background and start but i just cant do anything because of the error, when i hit ok it returns to the dashboard.

As you can understand i feel quite desperate right now, made all the effort and waited for the dvd media to be delivered here and still no success. Verbatim+R DL dvds should just work shouldnt they? When i inserted a philips dual layer disc the other day my dashboard said: Play DVD so i knew immediately that it wasnt working, now it says play game, but after a black screen the error comes up.

if anyone knows what might be wrong please dont hesitate to reply, i'm really waiting for replies.

regards

- I used cloneCD to burn the dvd as textbooks tuto explains.
- The error message is Unrecognized disk please clean it with a soft cloth or restart the console.
- I have hitachi 47dj drive flashed with slax.
- Verbatim +R DL media.

Now i just checked this game and when i insert them into my pc it recognizes it as a xbox360 game and when i play it it says: please put this game in an xbox36 console.

So the actual burning might have worked, im really clueless right now.

- xbox is flashed correctly
- i have the right dvd media

I'm sorry but the fact that you are using *.iso's from a friend breaks the rules you cannot be helped any more.

Buy an original game back it up yourself.

I'm not a mod but any decent member would say the same thing.

the post above isnt regarding iso's or anything illegal, its about what im asking and obviously my intention with this topic is to see if anyone else got this message unrecognized disk with verbatim dvd +R dl and a 47dj xbox, im backing up an original game myself now but im affraid the same error message keeps coming back, my originals still play though..

Then if you are infact backing your own game up then you would need to explain what method and program you are using but imho you are trying to burn an *iso off your friends laptop which would break the rules.

Do i look stupid.

i obviously removed that, and i just backuped one of my original games now on a verbatim +R DL, so stop pissing about the illegal thing man geez.. if you cant help me just dont post is that too hard to get? maybe i should repeat my question again and i quote:

"y intention with this topic is to see if anyone else got this message unrecognized disk with verbatim dvd +R dl and a 47dj xbox"

ive googled some and also searched along the forum but no solutions yet, it might be the laser? but then it wouldnt read my originals either right. It might just be my burner, perhaps is should just buy the pioneer111

peace

ps and yes you look stupid

This information is needed to help you.

It's obvious you don't even know how to backup your games and you're just downloading them or burning those that your friend downloaded. Unfortunately for you, PrimitiveX5 was correct, we can not and will not provide support for downloaded games.

If you're getting "unreadable / unrecognized disc" it can be a multitude of things, but most likely it is:

1. Bad media or burner combination
2. Failure to bitset to DVD-ROM prior to burning
3. Using an outdated firmware
4. Bad laser , do a POT tweak or buy a new laser

This thread is locked. If you can figure out how to backup your own games then start a new thread. If all you want is to download games, you won't find help here.
