Very Strange Problem

Xbox ver 1.1 - Retail HD - Samsung Drive

Bank 2 - Flashbios 3.03 Works Flawlesly flashes and loads everytime

Bank 1 (any bios) X2_????

Config live series - Loads Config live screen- then freeze, no frag no audio no video

Earlier series,.. black screen no frag

Now if anyone can tell me what in the world this means????

IMPORTANT!!!! Not a faulty chip as it does exactly the same on every X2 I throw at it!!!

My guess is that the falshbios bypasses something the actual bios does not,.. thus works and reg hacked bios does not,.. can anyone tell me what that is so i can at least try to resolve the problem,.. I have no idea where to even start with this,.. obviously it's the xbox issue but what is it the hacked bios requiers against the flashbios?

I think the HDD may be empty, regardless shouldnt you get at least the flubber then,.. and it does not load any DVD tried many. (Also tried locking/unlocking in flashbios) and yes it is the actual HDD from the xbox!

By Config Live screen, I am assuming you mean the screen where it says loading settings. What happens with the chip off? Why is the drive empty, did you format it?

yes i mean the screen where it says config live.... the xbox works fine when chip disabled and the HDD is empty because the very first time it loaded my Autoinstaller dvd and i formated it then it froze and been the same ever since

Above you said that it won't load any DVDs. You also said the hard drive is empty, but it works with the chip off. I am confused, what happens why you play a game with the chip off? What about turning the Xbox on with the chip off and nothing in the DVD drive? Are you sure the DVD drive is plugged back in?

Sorry by with the chips off it works i mean the flubber comes on then i get the dashboard error hence im asuming the format went through and then froze up,.... original dvds wont boot because of that,... other then that im sure its fine with chip disabled... and yes im sure the dvd drive is plugged in i even tried a different dvd drive cause i though it maybe be faulty,.. I;m breakingm my head on this one :\

16 - dashboard - Other files to do with dashboard / dashboard settings (specific dashboard error)

You could try flashing with 4981, and see if you can get it to boot. Then you could try rebuilding the drive. 503x looks to the hard drive for a config file, but should continue on if it can't find it. I'm not sure why you are locking up.
