Can anyone please help me out . I upgraded to X3 3108 and enabled the VGA Output. Now, the screen is blank at all res.'s of my TV and PC. I hear the sound, and my custom L.E.D. is still red. I can FTP my unit (ver. 1) and with all dips set to on except flash protection, I can get to the original flash screen and view it. By-Passing the X3 (holding in power) I still can bring up the original dashboard and games work fine. When power on, there are no visuals but the screen is scrambled when a game is in. I need to turn off the VGA feature and cannot. I have no visuals. I could do it blind if someone could tell me what to do from boot. Thanks to any and all for your help, and by all means "Don't Even Try the VGA Feature"

Try holding X+Y+A+B and booting the Xbox with the chip on. It should reset the X3 settings on reboot. Hold them until it does actually reboot tho!

x3 sound with no video: TRY THIS FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that fixed it!!!!!! for the past week i have had the sound without video problem. the first day it was fine and then out of nowhere my screen goes blank!!!!!! all of the threads i read about this problem people insist that it is a soldering problem. alot of times that is the problem, but not this time. this is only my third xbox to mod but i am an expert at soldering. still, i desoldered and resoldered my pinheader three times. i was just getting ready to send the chip back as faulty when i came across this little thread!!! I had tried everything under the sun and had drawn the conclusion that the xecuter 3 chip was more trouble than its worth. WRONG!!! I just wish i would read this sooner! the chip is running flawlessly now and i am pleased. only one thing bothers me and that is: i still have no idea what caused this to happen.
to make a long story short, when people are posting in a panic about this problem, this advice should be given first. It is much less work than resoldering or reflashing and there is a very good chance that this will fix the problem;)
