ok im about to flash my first ms28 drive i get how to do it with the mtk flash and ntfs dos disc but i keep getting this error when using xtreme boot maker (an error occured while quering for wmi data:generic failure) anyone know whats going wrong here?? thanks in advance

list scsi controllers it starts to go though the process then gives me that error in general options, im no noob with hitachi drives so i thought this would be easy but i was wrong lol

try uninstalling it from the system and registry to make sure go to run and regedit and look for it and then take it out and put it into another port on motherboard see if that solves it

Why are you using Xtreme Boot Maker when you should be using iPrep? (iPrep is a much newer version of XBM.) It's best to download Textbook's newest tutorial and follow along with the iPrep process and iXtreme 1.2.

Do you have .Net Framework 2.0 installed on your PC?

Also what VIA drivers do you have loaded?

i never thought to download the tutorial again should of known it would of been updated what a noob after all lol and the drives are what came with th cd keeps saying raid and i know that needs to be disabled

I would install the 5.50b drivers from HERE since the CD probably has old ones. The newest version on the site is actually 5.60a but for some reason those drivers don't detect the 6421 properly so I recommend sticking with 5.50b which are known to work.

well that didnt work for me either mate im at a loss still getting the same error message, ive got one more pci slot to try ya never know ya luck in a brothel report back later

try these drivers i had a similar problem and these drivers solved them ... u will need winrar to extract the .rar file hope all goes well !
