via vt6421 raid card. possible lemon?

Hello,
Ive been reading all the tutorial's and posts and i under stand how do flash a MS28 but it will just not work for me. Like when i connect it to my pc windows can see it so i know it runs but when i plug in any sata device to it it will just freeze or nothing like its not connected. *tested on alot of things : hdds, samy drive, and a hitachi drive that was already in mode b.* Now im startn to think that this card is a lemon, but ive tested the ms28 drive on 2 comps with the first comp i get into the part were i type xRead or samread so then i turn on my 360 and the comp just makes a loud sqeeel and freezes. While on my second comp*asus AN832-SLI Deluxe* it dosent see anything. This is making me think that i maybe just did something wrong but heres a pict of the config for mtkflash. EDIT: NOTE i did click all the MS28 patches on the boot maker i just didnt click when i took the screne shot.

I'm only asking these Questions as you have not stated this in your post

When you installed the driver did you install the RAID config tool or just the drivers?
If you did install the RAID tool uninstall. next time just select drivers only.

Have you updated to the latest drivers?

But yes you may have a faulty card.

yeah it just installed drivers. My buddy is gona test the card out on his comp and see if it get the same results.

Ok I tested it on 3 comps, same result got another raid card from newegg same results. I think im doing something wrong but i got no clue wut. heres wut i think im saspto do.

1. USB drive
2. that boot maker app look for the raid card and then find the ports or w/e and check the ms28 patches.
3. turn off comp and unplug all devices.
4. hook up sata cable to raid card and then to 360.
5. boot comp up with 360 off till the menu were u type xRead or samread.
6. turn on 360 w8 5 sec. and then press enter .
7. Says there are no drives....

yeah wut am i doing wrong >_< its rly makn me confused something is makn me think that the ports or w/e it needs to find is wrong

When you installed are you using the most current drivers?

Did you install RAID config?

if everything is o'k follow the ms28 bad flash method in the tutorial to the letter.

Also I hate leet spelling and mobile phone type text, please use english. It does not make you look good just lazy

If you are using the 5.3c VIA drivers try the 5.2c Drivers, I read on another site same prob of the drive not showing up.

were might i find the drivers at?

also yeah i am lazy primitive But ill try older drivers if i can find em and just start from sratch and redo everything and see if i can see it.

CLOSE THIS THREAD PLease! WOOOOO! I got it. I did everything write the first time except i left the sata cable in when i started it up so i just took it out and plug it in when it got to dos and it worked!
