Hey guys,
Today I received my PCI SATA card.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280093054570&rd=1&rd=1

That exact one.

Im not 100% sure i've installed it correct either. When it came up with new hardware found I clicked cancel(which I shouldn't of done) and went into the CD and used files within folders. So I think the card isn't correctly installed.

When I get into DOS. I get this:

I have the Samsung DVD drive with the MS28 firmware. I do the 10 second trick and it doesn't work.

Any help.

Maybe tell me how to completely remove everything that was installed so that the New Hardware found comes up again?

Did you use Xtreme Boot Maker to make your directories? Did you click the boxes for ms28? Did it detect your via card and, hence, properly hex edit your mtkflash to work with a via chipset?

Caster.

Yea I used XBM, yes I did click the boxes for ms28 and yes it did detact my VIA card. What do you mean hex edit mtkflash?

I though XBM did that...

Make sure your 360 is completely off before hitting 1. Look at the power supply and make sure the light goes orange, that's when it is off. Try variants of the time. 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15. If you power back up and still get the error, hit ESC. In most cases, a status of 00 means you powered on too early and a status of 80 means you powered on too late.

Im about to hexedit MTKFLASH and then ill do it again. When I was powering off my 360 I was counting from the instant I pressed the power button. Ill make sure to watch the power brick.

Ok this is weird. I did it the first time and it got stock on the master/slave bit and I pressed escape and it said 80. I then turned off my PC and 360. I then turned on the PC and when in DOS turned on my 360. Typed in samhack "my serial number here" and turned off my 360 and pressed 1 once the powerbrick light went orange. I counted to five and then turned the 360 back on, it still got stuck on the master/slave bit and I pressed escape and it was 80 again! It's saying it's meant to be 70. How do I get it to 70?

Can someone explain to me when I am meant to start counting and when im meant to press 1 on the option...

Is the sata card even picking up my 360?

power off 360 before pressing 1...

after pressing 1, start counting until ~10 seconds.. count real seconds!!
after 10 seconds power on and it should immediatly start reading..
and use XBM 0.5.3 to make a MTKflash

maybe use this updated tutorial from textbook for usage with Xtreme Boot Maker 0.5.3 which is very likely to succeed in one time.

Do it all over again, start with xbm, (why dont you reinstall xbm( a spyware scan had rendered mine useless)) After you have made the USB boot, drop in these http://www.360mods.net/Downloads/get=70/mirror=144.html
Do the samread and the samhack...... Do it over many times, read Texbooks tutorial many times and by looking at the pic you have posted, your sata card is reading the Xtreme/ USB device. In any case try the other sata plugs.

I do remember reading something here about port problems and the member stated a freind had to reprogram his chip..... Ill see if I can find that link...

Did you install the driver located in the VIA folder???? My install disk came with 20+ folders with many different drivers.......

It's detecting his drive. It could be that he didn't update his SATA drivers or he's just not getting the timing right on the bad-flash.
