JTAG Video/Audio via codec ?

Hi,

I like to watch video [which require "optional media update"] on my regular xbox 360, and i plan to make it jtagged.

Question:

- will i be able continue to watch such type of video ?

I have an xbox which i have carried out the RGH hack on and mine plays Divx/avi film formats, i havent tried playing dvd's though.

as long as the media codes are downloaded to the xbox ull be fine. and if not u could always get the codes after u rgh/jtag ur xbox.

So if :

1. i jtag console without hdd
2. put OMU in right folder in MU
3. do some magic with jtag tools to unlock some things

i am ready to play *.mp4[avc], *.avi[xvid] .

Right ?

Update your codecs before glitching or jyagging it's easier that way. Just connect try and play any divx and allow it to update then perform the hack afterwards. I try and get all my updates done before I take my boxes offline permanently.

you could always get the divx codes on here/online. really easy to do.

Most hyped and waited benefit is the x264 codec libraries. Xvid playback is less than a problem for a jtag, but any unhacked console can do it.

1. make RGH
2. use same as current dash $systemupdate to make some updates
3. move optional update to the right place
4. NXE now play movies like it should.
