And that is not what I am trying to do. I have 2 xbox 360s, one flashed, and another stock, with warranty. I am wanting to basicly copy those games over to my other xbox 360"The flashed one" Because i don't feel like spending all my money on that stuff. If i bought it once, i shouldn't have to buy it again, thanks.Pheonix81 said:because the 360 reads the security sector from the disc on intial loading then spins down and runs from the hdd, its basically to make sure you dont just copy the game to hdd then take it back to the shop lol
Okay now i understand... No unless its a Jtagged console you cant play games without the disc, the firmware is only to trick the console into thinking backup copies are original discs.d3r3kmiller said:Umm, i meant, how can I flash my 360 to play games without the disc? Or is that not possible? Because i know my friend has a JTag 360, and he can play games installed, without the disc. That is where this question came from. Could I get certain firmware to play 360 games without the disc?
true, but this is an outdated way and prone to disc read errorsshawlynot said:i can remember reading somewhere that this can be done but only by hotswapping when the game has already started!
Just seems like a lot of hassle to me!
Okay well, what if i already bought one and it is in my xbox 360.. How would that work?joesinger47 said:get a benq or samsung drive then flash it will 0800 firmware
its the best way to make backups
Okay thanks. Hahaha, im guessing im better off buying one more from like Amazon. Wouldn't hurt and would be a lot easier. hahajoesinger47 said:you would have flash the drive every time you wanted to make a backup, or you could flash with an older firmware (eg ixtreme 1.6) that has 0800 firmware as well as ixtreme firmware
then you would have to disassemble your xbox and hook the SATA up to your computer each time
