hey, i use dvd decryptor to rip my movies into the .vob format in one huge file, so after i rip em i put them on my xbox and play them with XBMC and on every single one there are subtitles..........is there a setting somewhere in decryptor that im missing or is it just a p.o.s. program? or is there something else i can do to get rid of them because they are driving me freakin nuts.......
thanks

Without going into too much detail, you can edit the VIDEO_TS.IFO file with a program called IFOEdit. When you're decrypting the movie, it's changing this file (think it's a quirk), but you can change it back. Check out websites like dvdhelp.org for further assistance.

i checked on that site and i coudn't find much that helped me, it seemed that the only thing that site does is give u links to sites that sell software for dvd ripping and stuff.......and i really don't kow what ur talking about with that ifo file, and i really don't have the initiative to spend lots of time to fix this small problem.........i guess i could change my question to :
what kind of software could i use that ripped dvds into any format that xbmc could play.
and what do u guys use ???

ps
oh ya and someything that doesn't give u subtitles all the time.....

The version you've linked is out of date now.

go to videohelp.com (sorry - other link was wrong).

LOL... nobody's listening to you Martin... I feel your pain!

So, Devastator is joing all the .vob files into one, to make a movie easier to watch, but from what i saw at videohelp.com shouldn't you be able to run the .ifo file using a program (?!?) to make it work just like a normal DVD? i.e. the standard dvd menu where you select play and away it goes, right up to the end of the movie.
