It's quite simple to use - if you want better results try using Maya - a lot harder.NeOnRaBbIt said:yea ive got 3dsmax 6 but ive only used it for creating .x files in the past for x2 bios (which should be coming to the x3 bios sooner or later along with the "run bios off hdd" feature) but yea i guess ima just gota read some tut's on simple rendering stuff to get goin...
Both are more than 2k... lol At that point price doesn't matter too much.NeOnRaBbIt said:yes i've read about maya in some magazines a while back about how some movie makers use it to create a lot of special effects. Though i think thats a lot more mathematical correct? And probably a lot more expensive.
Actually maya is used for games as well - Lucas Arts for example.minkis said:aye it comes down to what you like. max is more for game oriented things, whereas maya is more suited for movies. i wouldn't say max has many more precoded effects, the precoded ones look like ass, you end up spending half the time making your own just as much.
In iND-BIOS u can have custom flubber. Im sure (well i hope) along with the XBOX text replacement we are able to customise everything within the next few releases of the X3 BIOSi don't know much on these 3d programs...but u used them to make backgrounds. What about creating a flubber replacement for us all out of the same designs..
