I want to jtag my kernel, downloaded the tuts just want to know is it simple or am i gon have to get technical with it and do solderin and such, can someone please run me throught it

did you actually open the tutorials or just download them....they tell you how to do everything!
You have to open your system, your gonna have to solder many tiny points, and you are gonna have to have a way to connect the system (the soldered points) to your computer!

it needs good soldering skills if you up for it. first thing i would suddgest to update to dash 7371 before dumping your nand its worked everytime for me also get your self a nandx kit it makes life more easyer.

I stay in south africa do you know of any guys who can do it here for me? otherwise i saw the kit but do i have to order it can't get it anywhere else i'm sure
If your soldering skills arnt up to much, you won't be able to jtag. It's a hack for people who are a bit more technically minded.
If you still want to proceed, then you can buy a nand-x kit. There are suppliers who ship internationally.
Knowing the history behind your request, in my opinion, unless you want to get into the homebrew scene, I'd just get a new / second hand xbox.
Jtagging will get your drive key, which is what your after, but you've got to look at the cost of retrieving the key, soldering, time and effort.
