HITACHI 79 want to spoof to benQ

hello all, this morning i think i fried the hitachi thats a 59 spoofed as a 59. the wierd thing is i could get the keys if i hit 59 and read drive(would never play the unlock) anyways after tinkering around i realized the tray wasnt ejecting anymore, so i put it in the xbox and keeps saying opening, then i hit eject button and the green light blinks everytime....(plug the power cord in wrong?) anyways i have a benq that was on lt3.0 and have returned to stock, everytime i try to write any hitachi FW it tells me its not benQ and is aborting. i am using JF 1.91

sorry guys, its been a while, yeah i know better but thats all i have at the moment.

so would you think that the tray not opening is a fried board? opens when i ht open thru JF.

Anyway - There are no need to spoof at all: you can put unspoofed drive with right key in console and it will work fine.

You can put the key in manually or spoof the key to the target.

You can't put a Hitachi F/W on a BenQ drive though. You would have to flash the BenQ F/W with your Hitachi key.

It does work, but it's not recommended and it is not safe for LIVE.

This is FALSE. You can simply flash the DVD Key to any drive only if the console is RGH or JTAG and then the drive will work but in order to use it in a standard Xbox you need to spoof it which is no longer supported and can constitute an automatic ban on XBL. Please read up prior to giving adive:crazy:

Unless that's changed in dash 14699, that's wrong.

I put a BenQ in a Xenon that came with a Hitachi and it worked fine on all games. Did it for a mate who just wanted the drive replacing since the console wasn't going online (it was for his son).

That method does work on dash 13604 for sure.
