Hi Guys, needed some help.

I have a 1.4 or 1.5 XBOX Halo edition. I have an X3 chip with switch installed. I had flashed it with EVOX bios way back in 2005 or 2006. Everything was good untill my 120Gb drive started crashing on me.

I want to change the bios to the latest X3 bios mainly for large disk support. I have installed a 250GB drive in the unit.

My switch is set to "on on on on" bank 1 256K setting with flash protect switch off.

How do I flash the new BIOS on? How can I get to FlashBIOS screen since I already flashed the chip with EVOX?

Please let me know. Thanks.

The X3 has FlashBIOS in the backup ROM. To access it, boot your Xbox with the Power and Eject button at the same time. IMHO you are far better off with the X3 BIOS (3294 was the last version released) as it'll have far more features and allow you to change settings on-the-fly.

Once you're in FlashBIOS, your switch selection will determine which bank is flashed. on on on on is the 1st 256k slot, which is ideal for Evox. However if you choose to flash the X3 BIOS instead, set the switches to 1MB (on on off off) prior to flashing.
