The two bank setting are Bank 1234: on on off off Bank 5678: off on off off. If you just want to reflash over the banks you already have used just press power/eject at the same time and reflash over it. I dont really know about your temp question though.

If you have a 1.6/1.6b then the temps are read incorrectly and you can ignore them.
It may be fixed in the future, but not for now.

Just boot into X3 Config Live ... your network flash will then be available if you have your xbox networked...if you don't then burn the 1959 BIOS to a disc and there are ways to burn it from either the HDD or a CD/DVD

I'd just flash it to banks 1-4 ... no reason to have 2 seperate X3 BIOSes on it if you don't plan to use them to boot to different dashboards or something

Re: j tagging

Requires decent to advanced sodering skills. JTagging also requires you to dump nand off of the console and flash it to be able to run homebrewed software, thus being able to edit games and such. I think your grandson is wanting to do modern warfare 2 lobbies.(hacking the game)

yah. To be honest with you he really has no business in getting one. It will cost you alot of money and you will get banned in a split second.
