weird bootup procedure... help

ok, so this is getting a little irritating. when i first power up my box, here's what happens:

1. push power
2. box turns on, but x3 switch led is red
3. box turns back off
4. 5 sec delay
5. box turns on again, blue led now
6. loads x logo
7. 5 sec delay
8. loads "rox my box"
9. 5 sec delay
10. black screen...
11. 5 sec delay
12. loads xbmc menu (my dash)

anyone know what's taking this thing so long? i'm running the latest bios from "the usual places" v1959 1.6 build (1.6 box obviously)

i guess i can live with the delays, but the on-off-on thing is really irritating.. any ideas?

v1.6 halo le box
x3 modchip
samsung dvd-rom
samsung 120gb hdd
xir easy kit (dvd remote power)

Have you tried removing the xir easy kit?

What happens if you boot with the eject button only?

Are you pressing the power button *very* quickly (which is needed to boot enabled)?

I've got a suspicion that your d0 wire is shorting with something else. Try the above and let me know.
