ANSWERED Weird drive behavior after kamikaze

Hi guys, I have a problem after kamikaze:

when i start up the xbox, the drive open itself half way. when i try to close it manually or select "open tray" in DB (because it says so, its not recognizing half open tray), the tray closes really quickly. When its closed, selecting "open tray" will just make a grinding noise like it want to open but its unable to do it.

I am pretty confused, because everything in JF went good and i am able to unlock/write/lock the drive again and again without any problem.
Drive is also not opening with ck3i, only makes that noise...

is there any solution or it is just failed kamikaze?

Sounds like a fail kamikaze to me. Maybe drilled too deep.

I believe this is fixable with the so called 'pout fix' but I'm not sure because I haven't heard about half open tray before. As I recall, the pout fix can regulate the eject speed etc.

Best tip is to fix your situation with a replacement pcb, as I remember to have read a comment by Jsinger that the pout fix is not a solid fix but a temp one eventually.

It defo is a failed kami btw but you figured out that much already.

Replace the board. Job done. It's not called 'kamikaze' for the fun of it.

did the pout fix without resistor (as long as i dont have one now), drive opens very quickly. When i use sputnik probe as a resistor is helping a little to lower the speed but game wont load so the thing is clear - is the bad kamikaze. thanks anyway guys
