Hi so I finished a RGH 1.2 install on a falcon last night but I have a very strange overheating issue that I've never experienced and I've been rghing/jtagging console for a while now. So I got this console off mercari for $20 didn't really test it much just to update the dash and that was it before I rghed it. But I ended up replacing the thermal paste on the gpu considering I removed the gpu heat sink for my routing. I always do this and my temps in dashlaunch are always in the 40s- low 50s with fan speed set to bout 75-85. But this is just weird the gpu temp goes up fast to 65c just idle and in the 80c range while gaming. I ended up just sitting in a game on mw3 for about 15min and it froze and the middle led turned off. So definitely overheating at least as I would suspect. I have the fans set at 100 and I've tried putting more thermal paste and taking some off. (I originally started with a thin layer like I normally do). But nothing is working I'm very lost right now. It seems to not freeze while idle it's just when I'm playing a game. Any suggestions at all? I do have 2 broken Jasper's should I replace the heatsinks with Jasper ones? I mean I really don't know any help would be highly appreciated. Oh and idk if you guys need it but here's a pic of my install. https://imgur.com/a/72Vpo Don't think there's anything wrong with it. Thank you guys I used artic silver 5 paste. I'll try and swap out the heatsinks and xclamps for the gpu as stated above. If that doesn't work I guess I'll get it reflowed.
