Weird Problem with XBOX!

I installed the X3 chip and everything, but when i click the power button the led on the front panel turns red, and the xbox just keeps turning off and on. I checked al the soldering and everything with the instructions thrice and can't find out what the problem is

Is there a bios in the bank you are attempting to boot from?

I thought that once you install the chip the led is just supposed to turn blue, and then you install the bios, so i didnt install it yet.

Edit: I tried booting from all the banks and same problem.

did you press power and eject at the same time to enter the flash bios.

Do you get both blue LED to light up on the X3?

What version is your xbox?

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a 1.6b and followed the instructions to a tee.

I have a version 1.6, i tried pressing both the buttons and holding th power button i get the same result the only light that light up on the xecuter front panel is the HD light and the logo light which lights up red.

for the 1.6s did u do the lpc rebuild thing?

Have you done the alt 5volts wire as this as happend to me had one light on the chip then conneted the 5 volts bot lights came on then i was a way put my bios on all good no probs...................

Ok i got it all to work now but when i go to the flash bios screen my controller wont do anything o.o

Most of the time you need the contoller that came with the xbox.

make sure you reconnected the contoller port and check for damage to it otherwise

Open Tray Error

So I bought my new Xbox 360 2 weeks ago I successfully flashed my LiteOn 9xxxx drive with LT 1.1 today, but I am getting the dreaded Open Tray Error.

I tried flashing to the original firmware and testing to see if the error occurred and it's still there. No matter what I try, original, backups and DVD movies, nothing works.

I have been trying to move the laser bit by bit hoping that this thing just can't calibrate it's self to the correct starting point. I did a one point, get the drive to say "Play CD" and I thought bingo, but it just didn't load the game. Dash faded and no game come up.

I have ordered a new laser hoping this will fix it, though I don't think it will see as when I open the drive up and open the tray and close it, I can still see the laser works, shooting out a red beam.

Any inputs?

Forgot to mention, ribbon cable was not attached to the laser while flashing.

double check soldering and your ribbon cables!
