Weird Problem

Xbox boots fine with chip(2.6 with x2 5035) turned on
but when the chip is turned off i do not get any video or audio just blank screen (not fraggin either)

I noticed this yesterday but havn't done anything other than replace my crappy thomson dvd drive

It use to boot to the orginal MS dash without problems (with chip off of coarse)


would this cause this kind of behavior ? (Samsung replaced an orginal thomson drive) Its. a 1.0 version box if i forgot to mention that

I'm using the s-video (x-box ver) that has both composite and svideo and audio jacks built in the unit.

I had the same problem before and found out that the switch is defective, it's working now but without switch, i just by-passed the switch following Big_Whoopin's diagram and it worked.
