Weird SATA situation

done my xbox 360, luckily it was an ms25,,,, now i am doing because of the loss of previous one and i am having a weird problem. my sata cable is not hooking into the back of the ms28 properly. it worked on the ms25 and it clicks into the via sata card i bought (the one suggested, cant remember exact name, can find it needed). but this is very weird because this is an ms28 and everything else is fine.

any ideas or help or anyone saying they have had this happen will be appreciated.

(am not a total "noob" but am somewhat less experienced because of lack of maintaining knowledge lately and only having to do an ms25)

It only goes one way, make sure the side with a nub on it is pointing in the right direction. I'm sorry, I have to move this to the beginner/general forums.

yea it has always gone in fine before on the ms25, i just cant figure out why it wont go in fine on this ms28. very weird, but i will pop it open and try again later on, just wondering if anyone else encountered similar or knew a reason why i was having trouble with this one when it has worked fine with others.

anyways, as i said, will try again later and if anything i will just go buy another sata cable, have two right now already and both didnt plug in properly but could be that they both just stink.

ok, well it was still really weird, the sata cable wasnt clicking in and was loose. i decided to go with a risky way and just leave it rigged to where it sat in instead of clicking in and it worked out great. got it all figured and done. thanks again for tutorials and such textbook.
