Weird X3CE dashboard issue

I installed an old X3CE that I had a few years back on a 1.6a xbox. I installed one before without any problems, but this one has a weird problem.

Everything seems to be installed right, but for some reason the Xbox is having issues loading the dash.

If I press the power button regular it loads the factory dash, if I slide my finger across the power button (pressing it for a fraction of a second) it loads the dash.

Ive never experienced this before, what could be the problem?

install a new dash..
put it on a usb

martrin this has nothing to do with the xbox 360, is about the original xbox it will not boot from usb, I suggest they check the power button circuit board and to see if the chip is connected properly, just in case any connections came loose

Sorry for a late response but....

It was loading XBMC with the slide of the finger.

I had double checked all my connections.

I ended up just resetting the X3CE bios settings and it fixed it. Its weird because I had not changed any of the bios settings on the X3 chip. It was new out of the box. That and all the settings look exactly the same as what I remember the settings being, I had even double checked the settings against a working X3CE Xbox.
