weird xbox to xbox ftp problem

I'm not a noob to xbox networking, as I've cloned 4 xboxes using flashfxp to transfer between my xbox (1.0 w/ x2pro) and the virgin xboxes. Now this is the first X3 install I've done (on a 1.4 xbox), and it seems to work fine for everything except for xbox to xbox transfers. PC to xbox transfers work fine, as do small transfers. But after a random period of time doing the flashfxp xbox to xbox transfer, networking seems to hang, and requires a powercycle to get networking back.
This seems to happen both in the x3 ftp server, as well as the xbmc filezilla server. I've even tried using the xbox ftp client or avalanche remote file browser to do direct xbox to xbox connections, and it still hangs after a bit.
(The time it stays up ranges from 1 to 20 minutes.) Most of the time, it seems to hang on larger files (100mb+), but that might just be a probability thing as it has hung on small files (5mb+) as well.

Anyone else seeing problems like this? I'm still trying to figure out the source of the problem, as originally I thought it might be a filezilla problem, but it happens on the x3 ftp server as well. I'd appreciate any suggestions or thoughts you guys might have.

I'm not sure if the X3 Bios supports FXPing.... I asked about this awhile if EvoX supported this.. well before the X3 came out... someone wrote back saying that XBMC Support this... but I haven't tested this.

I've done this on 4 other xboxes, so it seems to have been supported in the past with XBMC, maybe even with XBMP. Previously, I'd just kick off a job at night and wake up to a transfered harddrive in the morning. This time, I have to keep checking every few minutes to see if I have to reboot yet.

My only guess so far is a memory leak in the networking routine somewhere, where all the networking buffers are taken so no new connections can occur. Everything else still seems to work fine as long as nothing networking related is needed.

Not really an answer to your question, but I have used the file transfer built in to Avalaunch and it works very well.

The transfer speeds seem to be much greater as well.

I have had similar probs with Flash FXP from PC to Xbox in Avalaunch and X3CL.

X3CL seems to be WAY more stable than Ava with Flash FXP (in my case anyway).

I just recently have been doing Ava to Ava remotes and have not had a single problem. AND IT IS F***ing FAST!

If you are locking up in Ava to Ava transfers, I recommend this.

1. Turn off the screensaver.
2. Turn off background music.

I have had probs in the past when Ava runs out of music files to cycle through it locks up.

Also, after the screensaver kicks on it locks up after a while.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is check that you aren't over-heating.
