i messed up my first attempt to mod an xbox so i went and got another one today. i desolder all the points and installed the chip on the new bord which happens to be a 1.6b.(x3 chip) everything seemd to go ok but when i tried to start up the new xbox it frags. if i press the eject button it frags. if i press the power and eject button it frags. but i can boot the m$ bios. im thinking its a d0 problem but ive tried to re-solder it 2 times allready. and im affraid if i keep messing with it i will ruin this xbox too. any advice? my aim is licensedchrome. i would really like some1 to communicate to me through there. thanx again for all the prior help

It's not your D0. Have you got both blue led's on the chip? for a 1.6 install, did you remove the pin from the pin header, and install the alternate 5V cable?
no i removed the pin header from the 1st attempt and put it in the new 1.6b xbox. all leds are a go. 2 blue 1 red.
my last version was 1.6 i flashed the chip on that xbox. lpc shold be installed corectly if all leds are lit right?
Not necessarily, You can get all your led's lit but have one of your other points not making connection. that will still cause frag. I don't think the switch setting would cause frag but have you got your switch set to the 2nd 1MB bank? off on off off
any idea of which pin(s) i need to re-solder i mean sence the 3 volt lan and hd led are lit i dont thinks its thoes. do you thinks its the d0 or one of the pin header points?
Honest oppinion i'd be redoing the whole LPC rebuild. If you did it with the rebuild PCB take it off and use fine guage wire. AWG30 or similar

im re-soldering right now but i have allready removed the lpc once and i just dont want to chanch breaking it. but im going to add a little xtra sold and see what happens.
theres no chanch that because i flashed this chip allready its not going to wprk on the new 1.6b when it was falshed on a 1.6. is there anything special i need to do that i missed on the 1.6b difernt then the 1.6?
i just re-solder again with no luck they all look solid...they are solid....all light come up but it still frags in all three modes except m$ r u shure it is nothing else?
If the chip was flashed with a 1.6 version bios successfully then it will work fine in your 1.6B. No I can't be sure that it is nothing else, and I do appologise for not being able to help you out more. Without looking at it myself i have no further clues as to what it might be. Sorry
