Well i just got banned!!!!!

My console hasnt been modded since late april.(pre-spring update)

Now i finally get my new samsung drive and match it to my MoBo(not flashed to play backups just spoofed as a hitachi)

And now im banned. Looks like 300 dollars need to be saved up.

think it is a bit sh*tty though, when i first went on xbox live via 360 i only signed up for one month, an the fookers carried on charging my card i didnt realise til i got a statement. maybe their letting me catch up on lost time till they boot my ass lol

I already have a ps3. I have too much put into 360 games and xbox live to just not get another one. Microsoft is doing this so the people who got banned will buy a new console and legit games.(all my burned games were legal). The firmware moddeds werent ruining the integrity of xbox live. the were just getting free games. so losing M$ a small amout of money.

New 360= 300 Dollars
Each xbox game= 60 dollars

But there is alot going on the xbox forums on innocent people being banned. maybe the jittercheck was too risky to trust.

Alot of people are saying that there old consoles are getting banned and havent been modded.

Lets see what happens.

yea you're right and it might work. but most of the people that modded their xbox had pirated games so they have it easier to buy a ps3. i hope they start unbaning everyone though after a period of time since even the regular users got banned for no reason.

i've read about all scenarios

1. a non modded xbox

2. hitachi fw 2.4 and 2.3 (updating before and after)

3. Samsung 5.3 and 5.2 (updating before and after)

4. even those who went back to original with original games before spring update and continued with originals after spring update.

So all cases have been reported i guess its just a matter of time.

mate im hours in on live now i think, microsoft's fooked up somewhere along the line, what im saying is any ov us could for one flash back to original firmware, or 2 say that we brought it without knowing it was flashed, i personaly think they avnt got a legal leg to stand on, an if by banning 360 in this way they are fooked

Hitachi V78, using latest firmware.
Burn all my games with 111D (DVD Booktype) with the proper SS, DMI, PDF patches.

Have played a backup of Crackdown and have played the Halo 3 beta.

I am not banned, yet (knocks on wood).

i tinhk this is really going to harm the modding websites like 360mods.net and xbox-scene because people are not going to want to modd their 360's no more. i tihnk all the modding communities should try to convince people not to buy another 360 because thats why microsoft is doing this. thats why they didn't ban everyone. right now they want to see how many people they lose over to sony and how many people they make to buy another 360. if their plan doesn't suceed than they will be more modding friendly. by making their plan not work we have to resist buying a new xbox. for a few months at least. im sure microsoft doesn't want to loose it's costumers.

The ~Xbox 360~ Modding is over.
Microsoft will soon ban everyone from Xbox Live who has a modded 360. They don't care if you have legal backups, They don't care if you bout your 360 with the modded Firmware. Its over. So everyone can just stop trying to convince them selfs otherwise an face the facts.

My best recommendation's are as follows

If you don't use Xbox Live, then hey use the Firmware mod and play you some backups.

If you want to play your games online, sell your 360... Just do it... buy yourself a nice ~PS3~.

If you already have a ~PS3~ then cut your loses and sell the 360 anyway. "As of today I dub the Microsofts Xbox 360 Ultra Crap"

yeah im not sweating it i new what i was doing to begin with so i won't cry about it. I was using legal backs and still got banned so why go out and buy a new console just to play new games? i'll just get a PS3 and continue to buy originals and get online for free. Problem sovled.

I have more than one Xbox 360 so im really not all that concerned.
I did get banned but I can still play online because of my other box.

The thing I wanted you all to know is its not jitter protection.
That wasnt the reason we all got caught.

You guys might be wondering as to how im 100% sure.
Well on the flashed 360 I never played backups online.
Actually I have never played anything but real copies online
with that console.

When IM offline and unplugged I play the backups. And I have
always did it like that since I flashed it.
Last night I played Crackdown (Halo 3) Beta with the real disc
Was banned this afternoon after I got off work.

So there is no possible way there was any backup jitter crap.
Im not pissed im not even mad. And I feel bad for all the people
who dont have the means to get another 360 are all ready have
2. But we all knew what we where getting are self into before
doing this.

I just wanted to let people know that MS has a different way of
finding out if your system is flashed or not.

which is basically what i was asking if i can still do that but not play on Xbox live and invite my friends over and play my H2 modded disk and play custom games not on xbox live.....

i agree and i tip my hat to you for making a smart post lol.
there tryin to play people for idiots and see how many people will go oh ill buy another system spend another 300 or whatever. im not mad that they did it i dont care its HOW they did it that piss's me off. for example they could of done some kind of way where you play a backup game on live itll give you a message saying "back up game detected you cannot play online insert real official copy of said game" i can deal with that and that would be respectable. but banning random people and makin them buy a whole new system is to much. disabling the use of backups is one thing tryin to rip people off is another. oh and i got this from xboxupdates.qj site

I was told about a certain error code C93 or something,
and they will check my 360 once again to check if the ban
was neccassary. After a short while they noticed thier mistake,
so yet again i am going to have to send my 360 back.
(There is no way they can un-ban me unless i send it back)

BTW, seems like they are only banning the actual 360 console.
(Harddrive and account/s work fine in my friends 360)

Lol I got another 360 but Im having second thoughts. I think I will just a Ps3 or Wii and Mod that because those 2 systems are not that strict when it comes to stuff.
