my m8 is the same got his xbox flashed not too long ago and only plays backups and he aint banned neither bit strange how only some modded machines and some normal have been banned but not others i think the banning process with continue from monday and stop again at the weekend bit like this weekend

ok i got banned yesterday havnt had a back up game in for 3 days so they must of bein watchin me

tried today myself, still online too, hopefully i can flash back to my original fw and nothing goes wrong.

i don't have the halo demo maybe thats what has happened. the halo3 beta/crackdown had maybe a serial number that allow Microsoft to know that its a copy

nope people have already flashed back to original firmware and still got banned, it also has nothing to do with crackdown/halo as people who havent played either are banned aswel
i just got banned on 2 consoles S*th!. im disapointed but hey i new what i was getting into. glad they couldnt just lock the console so it could be worse. i think there is a way round this however i heard people who did not mod have got banned, only a few cases i bet! they have to send there console back to microsoft in order to recive a new 1. weather this is to double check its not been modded or 2 simply through a way and provided a new 1 (cos they wood want u having 2 now) im not sure. but if they r not blocking the drive they must be changing or identifing the console on atempting to log into live or the consol has been writen to so it can no longer get passed the xboxlive loggin. i feel if these are the problems there is a solution. if they have writen surly we can earse i could be totaly off here so dont take it from me but just out of intrest what error codes are u getting when trying to connect i dont get a message saying i have been ban i only recive this if i click the Nat setting. but the connection search stops on xboxlive and never reaches nat then throws up an erroralteclansing said:

then in the nat it seems to have a few explenation of what it means if it wont connect the top being you have ben banned. and the same stutas code. im not stupid i recon i have been band but i wondered how the bans differ and if they are all the same maybe there is sum way of hacking the xbox live sign in phase any 1 got any idears or just want to post thre error codes or ban screens pls do it may help sort this out.
is there away of restoring the factory settings and changing the consoles identifying numbers any 1 ever worked for microsoft xbox lol
well the one thing that we do know is that you get banned once to turn on your 360. it is obviously a signal sent from the server to the console meaning that the ban has been sent electronically. this data has been encrypted which means it could be hard to find. one thing is that this ban must be reversible but info would need to come from someone very smart or really hates M$. I just hope someone can find out what to do sooner rather than later.
Everyone stop playing backups until they come up with a solution due to the bannhammer (lol), don't even play them offline because we think that the new dashboard might have the ability to detect and store info taken from the drive and is able to report to MS once connected to live.
I don't think it will matter if they turn there systems on or not. I havent played on xbox live for about a month, and when I turned my system on the other day I had been banned. They've obviously known who they were going after for quite some time.

Well I got banned on my Hitachie 47d drive 3 days ago and I then decided to use my other 360 (47d) that was not modded. Well you know what I am banned on my modded 360 but same live account on my other 360 is not banned but unable to play backups of course
That last update must of told them something cause my non modded 360 works perfect with the same account. When both 360's are online at the same time the modded one is still banned but the non modded 360 works perfect.
