Re: AP25 checks.

Chances are he didnt even use the power converter while flashing so hes probably flagged anyways.

People don't realise you need an extra part while flashing drives, because the 360 will detect that you pulled the SATA plug from the DVD drive, and it's still unplugged. If you buy that power converter you can dodge this.

But anyways he means if the person was already flagged then it doesnt matter if you're running on stock FW they will still ban you.

Even though C4Eva says LT 1.2 is safe or 1.1 no one really knows if it is....So he could already be flagged and going to stock doesnt matter. Many 360s have been banned under stock FW.

Re: AP25 checks.

Really when it comes right down to it. microsoft allways knows when modded boxes are connected to their servers. I have read all kinds of things over the years and there is any number of things they can detect. firmware, backup games, maybe the difference in the t.o.c. of the disks used. because blank media still comes up my manufacturer and not as a 360 original master. maybe the way the dvd player laser changes power to read a disk, speed of the playback of the disk, maybe original firmware is time stamped at original creation and even if you flash back to original the time stamps are gonna be wrong. who knows.. but make no mistake microsoft knows. love them or hate them microsoft dosent hire idiots to design their products they know everything there is to know about your box.

They only ban when it suits them and right now it clearly doesnt suit them to ban millions of live users when they are trying to push millions of units of the hottest new tech in the kinect.

But here is something to think about. You got a modded xbox your hooking up kinect which does have cameras by the way. so your playing bootleg or backed up games on your modded xbox(which is ill eagle no matter what anyone's says to justify it you agreed to the user agreement and license the second you turned it on). so now microsoft can snap a nice little picture of you standing in front of your t.v. playing that bootleg game on a modded box and record it with your i.p. as proof. anyone think of that yet? if you dont think they can turn the kinects cameras off and on when they want then your a fool. google steals wi-fi info with their street mapping cars, school after school have been in trouble for remotely activating laptop cameras. i bet if you read through the t.o.s of the kinect somewhere hidin in there in techno jargin will be Microsoft having the right to collect usage data from the kinect including activating the camera. and you agreed to all of it when you bought it and plugged it in.

Let's assume for a moment you're right, and someone at MS has the ability to take pictures of you without permission (by the way, I don't actually assume you're right). There is no way they'd do that trying to single people out and catch the end user with a backup disc.

1) It's illegal (anti wiretapping laws, privacy laws)
2) It's a PR nightmare (remember the middle school who remotely turned on webcams on student's school laptops?)
3) Being caught means the end of all Kinect sales as people abandon the hardware
4) Family's start suing MS (my six year old daughter took a shower and walked into her bedroom where her Kinect was!)

It's an interesting thought you've got here, but it doesn't stand to logic to be an actual issue. MS will simply continue to introduce new ways to check for differences in firmwares to detect modded units.

Re: AP25 checks.

Holy cow you guys are easy! lol, dang dudes don't get so uptight I just like to mess with people and get them thinking. Anyone who knows my posts knows I like to just mess around and give a different opinion is all. Oh and I did mention the schools doing that in my reply LOL .

Oh but for fun maybe we should all petition Microsoft for backup amnesty day. What ya think? Make it what like... September third or something lol.

But, seriously These forums have become so dead in the last few months I'm just trying to get some conversation going. Really what happened? Use to be hundreds of posts a day and now lucky to get 1 or 2 reply's to a post over a few weeks.

Your lite-on drive will require a reflash with LT+. LT+ is not released yet, but it will be...eventually. I recommend either staying offline until LT+ comes out, or flashing your dvd drive back to stock (unmodding it) so you can play online without any worry. :)

Patience is a virtue!
yo dog how do u know that lol whats up

flashing back to original firmware is still not safe!!!
