I got the chip installed perfectly I thought, the first time I booted up, it worked perfectly, not a flaw, I could boot into the M$ dashboard and go to the flash bios screen. After that it just kept turning itself on and off. I opened the box back up and fixed one problem that was obvious (I forgot to solder a pin on the pin header and it pushed down so it didn't get any contact). It worked once again, except I could no longer go into the M$ Dashboard, and the xbox would turn on with the modchip enabled as soon as I plugged it back in (holding the power button and/or the eject button would send me to a black screen). The next day I turn it on just fine (minus the problems from the night before) and I was getting ready to flash the bios for the first time and I was having problems getting the http thing on my computer so I turned it off for a while to do some research (I had to unplug it because only the eject button was still not working). I turned my xbox back on and it started turning itself on and off again, so I took everything apart again and cleaned up my soldering job and made sure all of the points were solid. Still nothing. I finally disordered everything and used a minimal amount of solder to put it in and this time I got a surprise, it didn't turn itself on, I pushed in the power button and it went on and off really quick with no front LEDs on, I took a look inside and held the power button in and only the 5v. LED was lit. Holding the power or eject button would keep it on as long as it was depressed, but I didn't keep it pushed in too long just incase it was shorting out. So I checked everything again and put it back together... NO POWER AT ALL!!!! I can't get anything to turn on, at all. I am pretty sure that my soldering was bad at one time and crossed something. Is there anyway I can bring life back into my xbox? PLEASE HELP!
It is on a v1.6 xbox (not 1.6b, just 1.6).

o well, i'm getting a new xbox at the end of the month and this time i'm going to do a wire install. I think i found out what happened; the 1.6 lpc rebuild thingy has solder pads on the top and bottom and i think i put too much solder on and it crossed over under the rebuilt kit, so with a complete wire install i shouldn't have this problem. thanbks for you help
