Wow i thought that looked good i have been practicing for a month and it turns out thats its bad great
Well...Maybe you know how to handle a soldering iron, but you seem to be using a large amount of solder on every point, perhaps because you're not using flux or something.

This is the maximum amount of solder you would need at points this small:

i found using .6 solder made things go more smoothly, and it was my first time soldering a jtag, with almost no experience with a soldering iron...

I found with the smaller solder that it was harder to apply large amounts to areas and you will find less clean up if you bridge connections.

also what qsb's did you mess up i ordered a few kits and have a few extras here.

A 60/40 Rosin-Core Solder of 0.32" Diameter is what I would recommend just as it says in the Soldering equipment Sticky.

the .8mm is what M AzeeM suggest that's 0.32" (he knows way more about this stuff)

i use .6mm which is .22"
i have both and preferred the smaller one cause it gave me more room for mistakes. because i am not great let me know what QSB's you destroyed and i can see if i have them...

oh and mine were blue stickers not red... also from the source.

the one for 10.99 4 stars is .32"
the one for 9.99 5 stars is .22"

i'll check i dont think i have nand ones just jtag ones, but who knows, i also placed a order from xconsoles, i have a xenon here i need to do, but let me check what i ordered cause i like to order things i might need, since shipping cost me 20 bucks roughly no matter what i get.

just checked out how much the nand qsb's are your better off to go to wire the best price i could find was around 20 bucks roughly 10 dollars to ship items that way less than a quarter hehe

You need to re-read all 18 pm's that I sent you. I told you to take your time, and that it only took 1 second to get the point to stick, if it was taking longer than that, then to pull away.

Get yourself some of this

And take your time. 1-2 seconds and if it doesn't work PULL AWAY! If you can't do it, don't ruin the box, send it to someone.

Also, watch this a couple of times: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_NU2ruzyc4[/ame]

hey kr4k 4 j4ck a few tips for soldering..

Use a low wattage iron 15-20w or better get an iron that has digital heat adjustment, i set mine to 250 degrees C and use leaded solder.

Use an iron with a pencil tip (fine pointed)

As M azeem k stated, use flux to help your solder flow.

Use the 0.8mm solder and apply a small amount to the tip of the iron, put the iron to the point you wish to solder on the qsb/motherboard, when hot enough the solder should flow from the iron to the board/qsb, feed in a little more solder if required.

If using direct wires flux and solder the end of the wire first, heat the point you wish to solder, when heated, add a little solder then position the wire and remove the iron.

I hope this helps

Looking better than before. Watch [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jUaf394WIk"]this.[/ame] Just add flux before you tin the wire. Then hit the wire to the pad. You don't need alot of exposed wire, just a little. If you have to much it is possible for the wires to touch, and you don't want that. If you need them that long make sure you add some heatshrink tubing.
